ABOUT

The University of Nottingham Men's Football Club, is one of the most prestigious clubs within the university, with the same level of interest to join, unmatched by other sports teams.

UoNFC have continually performed at the highest levels throughout its history. We currently have 4 teams competing in the BUCS leagues, and 1 development team competing in the University IMS league.

With around 100 boys in the club, competition for places is always high, especially this year, with a new centralised training programme, enabling fluidity between the squads. This is something which has been hard to come by in recent seasons and at times has been detrimental to the growth of the club on the pitch. Nonetheless, each team competes for the top spots in their respective leagues, campaign after campaign showing the determination and winning mentality of UoNFC. This is something which will no doubt reach new heights after a new injection of enthusiasm into the club from new coaching staff, lead by Director of Football, Nick Tester, a man with a good footballing pedigree and vast experience in the coaching sphere.

As well as competing in University League football, there are also cup competitions for each team, including the BUCS Premier Trophy for the 1s, and the Midlands Regional Tournament for the 2s/3s/4s.

The club has training twice a week, as well as an S+C session with the University's Strength and Conditioning staff in the High Performance Area of the David Ross Sports Village. More information about DRSV, under the Facilities tab.

The social aspect of the club is very important, as this creates unity off the pitch. Socials take place every Wednesday with high attendance of paramount importance as socials present a great chance to spend time with members of the club who you do not play with on a regular basis.

As a club, we are very excited for the season ahead, with a set of new coaching staff and exceedingly strong squads.
