A MESSAGE FROM...

Alex Moss - President

At the University of Nottingham sport is an integral part of any students experience. The new David Ross Sports Village, the University's competitive and consistent high position in the BUCS league and the new family a student is welcomed into are the foundation that puts the University of Nottingham sport at the top of the pile.

The football programme at the university offers students the chance to improve their individual ability, continue to compete at a high level of football with the achievable goal of memorable success, but more importantly gives any student a chance to play the game they love in a friendly and fun environment. The selected BUCS teams compete against universities nationwide, whilst the IMS leagues offer a chance for students across the university to compete against one another.

As a student myself, joining the football club was the most important part of my University experience. It allowed me to continue my passion for the sport at a good level, maintain my fitness and make friends for life from within and out of the club.

I hope come mid-September we see as many students as we can trial and look to show off their talent and jump out of their comfort zone to engage within the University of Nottingham's sporting community.

Nick Tester - Director of Football

I'm delighted to be joining the University of Nottingham this year as their new Director of Football. Having seen the sides play before and knowing the pedigree of the players already in the squads, coupled with the state of the art, world class facilities at the David Ross Sports Village, the aims of the club must be to be known as one of the best university Football programmes in the country, and, potentially, in the world.

Sport and Education work synonymously alongside each other; both involve the need for discipline, both need a high level of practice and both need the ability to perform at the right time in order to maximise potential. With our elite coaching team, the highest level of sports science support, and some exciting players at our disposal, I am certain that the next few years will allow us to reach this said potential.

Do explore our new website, and get in contact for more details, or to organise a tour of the University and our Football programme.
