ELITE PERFORMANCE

At the University of Nottingham, we encourage highly able sportsmen and women to apply for a scholarship, as there are mutual benefits for both parties involved. The club itself strives to attain highly talented individuals whom will strengthen the top level squads as well as maintaining a solid academic record. Therefore we strongly welcome scholarship applications, whether you will be entering into the university as a First Year Student or a Postgraduate/Masters Student.

For the 2018/19 season UoNFC have brought a wealth of talent into the club via scholarships. Chase Rhode, predominantly a centre back, comes from America where he played for both UC Davis and Wake Forest, 2 sterling soccer schools. Nat Hubert too comes in as a scholar, who , like Chase, has an American collage background. Tord Pederson completes the trio from the US as he strengthens our goalkeeper ranks. Yair Karamat also joins us from Holland, and with only being 18, promises to be a star for UoNFC for years to come.

The sports scholarship offered by the University of Nottingham is one of the most financially valuable scholarships offered by any university in the U.K, with some scholarships offering a perceived value of over £9,000 per year. However, this ranges depending on the level of scholarship recieved.

The extensive financial value of the scholarships awarded here is imperative in allowing elite athletes to continue to develop, as it removes the need for a part time job whilst at university. Allowing the focus to solely be on sport and academic study.

In furtherance, the introduction of the David Ross Sports Centre, in addition to the experience and knowledge of the sports performance staff, provides for a performance sport experience that will be hard to beat globally.

Finally, the University's commitment to ensuring that it's students become balanced individuals is emphasised through the support system that scholarship provides to ensure that performance sport scholars are performing to their very best both on, and off the pitch.

It is the focus on the blend of academic excellence and sporting prowess that make the sports scholarships at the University of Nottingham truly quintessential.
