OUR NOTTINGHAM

At the University of Nottingham, we pride ourselves in attaining good links with our community and giving back to those around us. In the 2017/18 season, we have looked to foster links with local schools, enabling the club to develop coaching and leadership roles within local schools in the surrounding areas, which offers a brilliant chance to attain the qualifications for coaching badges, as well as giving the children in the community a greater variety in their learning. We have been working closely with Dan Smith, UoN Sport's Community Officer, and are looking to develop links between Dan and TeachFirst, one of our club sponsors, as we believe this is vital to development of not just our players, but improving the lives of the children in the community with fewer opportunities than ourselves.

In addition to coaching, we are looking to engage in more community projects to better the lives of those around us. This includes volunteering at the City Centre soup kitchen on a Tuesday and Sunday, with a few members of the club already venturing down to help out. As well as this, many more ideas have been put forward by the committee and will look to be acted upon throughout the remainder of 2018, including: a sponsored sleep-out, clothes donations, Poppy Appeals and many more!

If you have any ideas or projects that the boys could become involved in then please do not hesitate to contact us, as we are open to all opportunities.
